Mother's Day
Mum's Day plant........it loves the moist outdoors! Mom plant will die and her "puppies" (the new plants)that will grow about her roots will grow and become beautiful in their time.
Ahhhhh, new shoes and dress socks
Mother's Day! Here's my crew except my other daughter was working.
Yep, this is sort of a belated post! Here it is Memorial Day already. My mother is taking flowers to my son's resting place. I see it in my mind - and the view of the mountains in the Wyoming he loved. I think of all the moms (and dads and siblings) that are having bad holidays because of loved ones not being with them because of war, life's absurdities, or just silly family arguments.
Take time out and hug your family, hubby, wife, dog, cat, today, ok?

Great post, Gardenia. I really enjoyed the family photo, esp. that glimpse of the photographer in the mirror!
I am so grateful for my family, and the fact that we are all living in the same area now, where we can see each other frequently. It hasn't been like that since we were kids.
I love the family photo too. It's really great to see your crew..and see a slightly different side of you. I am so pleased because the whole tone and mood of your posts have really changed from this time last year.
I hope you can feel what I cans ee from all your new sounding posts.
Beautiful plants. Hey those are some pretty styleing shoes and socks of your grandsons. Does he go to a privateshcool with those formal clothes?
Big hugs
Candy
Yes, I feel content here - at least more so than Wyo - Wyo is so - harsh.
I can't believe everyone stuck with me in the midst of that pile of blowing sand, through the moaning and whining! I can't help but think of our folks in Iraq and Afghanistan - how they must long for home!
Boy goes to Montessori but doesn't need the shoes or socks - he was impressed with his big cousin's prom attire and decided he wanted to go dressy - mom nixed the jr. tux and allowed him the dress shoes for his end of year program. He had a pink tie with coloful little bugs on it and a white shirt and dark pants. I found the particular pose as he sat on the bed talking to me something I wanted to preserve.......
yeh, Coyote - family is sometimes noisy, problematic, but all in all - they are part of the nucleous (sp?) of a contented life.
Ah Montessori, and he wanted to dress special like the big people. Very sweet!
I LOVED that plant!!!! Your daughter is looking well... Tell her I said hello.
