The night before departure - reminds me of the old, old song, "Red Sails in the Sunset."
Bob Dylan (I think) had a song where he sang about "leaving Wyo" - in fact, there are at least a handful of songs about leaving Wyo - must be a good place to leave, drive through, visit, etc., not stay!
One of my daughter's friends, Paul, came over and networked us with a router - I'm on line on my OWN computer - it rocks! Thanks, Paul!
The two ladies prefer to remain anonymous due to cyber stalkers.
More pics later.

Yippeee ki yo - I made it in! Not much time, had to run to Mobile this a.m. for granddaughter's band competition. They placed lst and - they are going to STATE! I was completely blown away - a private school band that sounds like the orchestra pit during a "CATS" show!
Now, slowly unloading car, putting things away.
Seems like during the time I was gone, the "hole" I left, if any, filled up quickly and most traces of me eradicated - now to dig my way back in - I started with the study, but still have not hooked my computer up yet. Daughter got the router connected with hers so hopefully can share high speed internet.
Miss Meowi seems quite happy. Psycho is even hissing at me, he likes being top dog - oops, cat. Big Meowi took off this a.m. Blast his hide - he scares me when he does that! He usually returns at 3:00 a.m. under the cover of darkness to shred the bedroom screens announcing that the pleasure of his highness' presence is now available.
I have pics of trip and some wandering stories, will post when I get a little more acclimated to actually "living" here. Now, off to visit each of you tonight - I hope. Gotta check the chicken & the brussels sprouts first.

Still packing, complied with Unemployment requirements this a.m., and now on my way out to turn over Missions to someone else - I pray there is someone else. Happier posting:
anks for coming to my party. I loved the "gifts" and had a happy evening giggling over some of them. The dancing man was getting thinner toward the end - I think. I forwarded the fart website to my grandchildren - soooooooo much information on that site, I learned a lot. :0
Come to my cyber birthday party. Today, I won't tell ya how old I am. So don't sing that song. Recommendations for great CD's would be welcome. And bring a poem, or link, or you favorite something, or something to share. Dress is - well pretend you are 4 and are dressing yourself in whatever you want and please share what you have on.

What a day! My back burns like fire. BUT, hired a lady to come help and we packed and we packed some more. I'm down to the nitty gritty - sorting stuff, stuff I need to live, so its getting close. I think I might be ahead of the game as far as packing goes. She even loaded my car with some loose stuff that I will drive to my mother's tomorrow and hauled loads of garbage out to the dumpster in 75 mph winds. I simply couldn't have done it myself. These winds are from hell. Don't know how much more I can stand. At least there seems to be less snow.
My final check has not shown up and this was the day, according to State Statute it was supposed to be here. Now I wonder what is up. Ok, no worry, self, stop it! Do not worry, do not!
I'm going to Subway and get a meatball sub and a Coke and come back and fire up that DVD player Christmas present and put heat on my owie back.
There is so much snow here and it keeps coming and coming and coming. I wanted to go get my kitty from boarding today, but the roads were closed pretty much every way there is out of town because of blowing snow and limited visibility.
Ah, Christmas aftermath. Trying to clean up the piles. Just returned from a couple of days at my older daughter's house. The weather has been just a tad nippy. Got to see my daughter's ex, both the kids, and spend time with kids and daughter and eat some of the best southern greens and field lima beans I ever wrapped my lips around.

Ok, here it is. The agony and the reward. I warn you, no laughing. I had wanted a thinner bird with some deep magenta and blues in the black feathers but it was explained to me that he was going to do sort of a Japanese style motif, so after some indecision I thought, well if I were commissioned for a painting and someone started telling me how to paint it, I would think twice about the commission, so I said, go for it. I'm happy with it.
Yep, Santa onna Beach. Not the real reason for the season, true, but the camera is at home, and cruising the net for good pics is not a time option! Our Lord deserves a gorgeous photo!
For Karen: I promised a picture of the urangle. The hospital had a Christmas tree and decorated it with "found" objects. There was unique recycling of masks, urinals, medicine cups, a prescription or two from Rudolph or Frosty the Snowman - I think they are GP's, accu-check strip bottles, and a few donated ornaments.
Made it! Not too terribly exhausting. It's warmer here. There is 14" of snow expected where I left from. So I haven't seen daylight here yet - got in at 10:00 p.m. Krispy Kreme is demolished in favor of a new building. There is a new Walmart. Marble Slab Ice Cream Parlour is still going strong - we had multi spinkler birthday cake ice cream and dark chocolate with almonds and coconut. I don't waste time. Little boy wanted to go to Ci Ci's pizza, but it was soooo late - maybe later.
Ok, folks this is a western Christmas tree with no decorations. It is called a tumbleweed. Because it tumbles across the highway. Actually these dudes can be about 4' all the way around and they are beautiful sprayed white or silver with teensy lights on them.
Yum yum lentil soup. Minus the $3.99 red pepper. Are red peppers that expensive where you all live? Wow. Why do lentils, beans, etc., all say to sort and wash? Sort what - why do they sometimes have rocks and little pieces of mud in them? Why aren't they sorted and washed before packaging. Its a little bit like buying dirty underwear, isn't it? Yeh, I do have a lot of questions.
Several folks honored me by sharing their stories of loss of pre-born children. And a friend's daughter just lost her unborn infant.
